One of the hardy desert flowers that commonly grows in the rocks and cervices of the mountains. Like most desert plants it is less inviting than first glance suggests. The delicate little flowers are surrounded by porcupine like leaves that were more than a little abrasive. I touched one and spent the next five minutes picking hairpin needles out of my finger.
